UnionActive Online Voting
Give members a familiar place to participate
Prepare scheduled online initiatives, define eligibility, and record voting choices separately from member participation records.
Voting connected to member accounts
Eligible members sign in, review the initiative and supporting information, then submit their selections during the scheduled voting window.
Controlled eligibility
Make an initiative available to members in good standing and, when needed, limit access to a local or resource group.
Flexible ballots
Allow one selection, multiple selections up to a defined limit, and an optional write-in response.
Clear confirmation
Members see a completion message and receive an acceptance email after a successful submission.
How members vote
Sign in
Open Online Voting from Member Resources and select an available initiative after voting begins.
Review and select
Read the subject and supporting details, then choose from the available options within the selection limit.
Submit once
Enter the vote to complete the subject for that member and prevent another form submission.
Review before submitting: the standard voting form does not provide a way to change selections after submission.
Privacy and administration
Participation and choices are maintained separately: administrators can identify who participated without a report that associates an individual member with specific selections.
- Set opening and closing dates and times.
- Restrict access by local or resource group.
- Add descriptions for the subject and choices.
- Schedule an opening-day email reminder.
- Preview the form before voting starts.
- Download results and participation records.
- Optionally show totals to eligible members after closing.
- Archive completed initiatives for future reference.
Create an initiative at least 24 hours before its start when using the scheduled opening reminder.
